Letter 23: EHP Yearly Presentation

“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to ZZSH EHP yearly presentation......” I was the first person standing on the stage, speaking with my heart beating wildly. On the behalf of butterflies in my stomach, I had elephants trampling over me. With a sea of audiences in front of me, I felt anxious. Fortunately, when the spotlight was on me, I couldn’t see anything but my mother, this made my confidence restore.

Cathy, Candy, and I were the leaders of the presentation. We had to contact the companies, inform the seniors, promote the activity, we also had to find the sponsor.
Three leaders!
Although I didn’t play the main role in our drama, I was still in a cameo role. To make the point, Doris, Candy, and I danced Money Money Money (from Mamamia).

Through the project, I found out every of us has different abilities, when we stick together, we will be the best one. I appreciate everyone participated well when we practiced, no matter it was early in the morning or late at night, we really did our utmost.

If there’s a chance, I believe most of us would like to do it again next year!
Take a bow!

Classmates from 120

Support from the basketball team๐Ÿ’“

Because it was the last time EHP students performed, lots of seniors came back. Can you find me? ๐Ÿ˜€
Proud of the stage prop!

Letter 22: Bad lucks arrive, but the best thing is we won the fifth place!

Dear Tim:

Since last time I told you that I fell down the stairs, more and more bad things happened on me. First, when I was cutting the apples, I cut my finger, fortunately the wound was not so deep. Second, I had a stomach flu, I had the runs six times in twelve hours. Third, last Friday I went to a poster company to check some information, I hit the head. Because of these, my father took me to HSING-TIAN Temple to pray for good luck, I thought everything would be better. But today when we were playing soccer on PE class, Otto and I collided, my knees and elbow were hurt. The best thing was we won the fifth place on volleyball competition!

Q&A
Liam was put on "house arrest" because he "nip" bug lady's ankle. Bug lady is the woman who check Mr. Maher's house for rodents once a month. If Liam commits a serious bite, he could be taken away and put down. And because Liam had never bite people before, bug lady did not get the permission before entering Mr. Maher's house, Liam was excused from a more serious punishment

Letter 21: Fell down the stairs!

Dear Tim:

On Thursday(4/26), it was the boys' volleyball championship, when I was walking down the stairs, I slipped, my butt fell to the ground, I was scared silly, at that moment I couldn't find the stair handle. Fortunately, Candy grabbed me, so I only fell half the floor, didn't hurt my bone. Next Monday(4/30) it's the girls' last game, I am confident that we will win the fifth place!

This Saturday, we went to TNUA(Taipei National University of the Arts) to took the photo for our poster. Jack and Melvyn are our photographers, because we are lack of finance, let me show you some selfies.

Q&A
Many American women would make clothing for the families from old flour sacks because it was too far for them to get to the market. The reason why were the flour bags in Taiwan only used to make clothing for boys, but not for girls is because the material was too rough for girls. The humorous logo on the boys' clothing is show the relationship of America and Taiwan.

Letter 20: Volleyball Competition

Dear Tim:
The girls won the first game! If we win the game on Wednesday(4/25), we will be in the semifinals. Let me tell you who’s on the game, Cathy, Angela, Selena, Candy, Vivian, Allison, Sabrina, and I. The boys are all on the game, as you know that we only have six boys, so every of them have to play. Unfortunately, the first game they competed with had three players from volleyball team, so they lost. But they already did their utmost, especially Hugo, he could pass the ball that the others attacked, he even lied prone to pass the ball.

Our annual class trip will be hold in June, we’re going to Kenting, Ida amusement park, I am very excited about this.

Letter 19:

Dear Tim:

We have a volleyball competition on Tuesday(4/17), most of us have prepared hard of this. Since two weeks ago, the players started to practice, we arrive school at 7 every morning, this means I have to wake up at 5:30! We also practice at weekend, hope we could have a good achievement.

The dragon boat races, Arizona style makes me remind of that I had once make a boat by cardboard. Do you know the song "Count on me", sang by Mars Bruno?
Here's the lyrics:
If you ever find yourself stuck in the middle of the sea,
I'll sail the world to find you
If you ever find yourself lost in the dark and you can't see,
I'll be the light to guide you
Find out what we're made of
When we are called to help our friends in need
You can count on me like one two three
I'll be there
And I know when I need it I can count on you like four three two
You'll be there

'Cause that's what friends are supposed to do, oh yeah
Three years ago, when I was in junior high, we had a English singing contest, this was the song our class the sang. We made the boat act in concert with the lyrics.

Letter 18: A five-day holiday

Because of the Tomb Sweeping Day, last week we had a five-day holiday. On this festival we would visit our ancestors’ and family members’ graves to pay the respects. Some of the Tomb Sweeping Day customs include burning ghost money and presenting food offerings. But I have never gone tomb sweeping, because my mother considered that children don't need to be there.

So this holiday my parents took me to Tamsui Old Street, it's near our school, also on the north of Taipei. The must-try food there is "Ah Gei". It is a tofu stuffed with crystal noodle and sealed with fish paste. It used to be the seafarers' dessert.

Tamsui is also a good place to date, the sunset there is beautiful. Here are some photos I took.

Don't you think the cloud looks like a dragon?
The reason we moved is because the last place we lived is rented house, and the landlord wanted the house back, so we had to move. I'll still study in ZZSH, but the distance to school will be further. I used to live in Banqiao, now I live in Tucheng, ZZSH is near Tamsui.

Letter 17: Tidy up the house

Dear Tim:
We are moving house next Wednesday(3/28) , there's less than two weeks for us to prepare the stuff, it's very rush. In addition to sorting out my own room, I will also need to sweep the floor and clear away the contents of the previously moved box. The main items in the box are the kitchenware and the book. Most of the kitchenware are new, I think we'll give it to our neighbors, and those books will be recycled. The clothes and shoes that are too small for me will be donated to those in need.

These days, I have been measuring the length of the room and find suitable furniture. One night I didn't sleep well, the whole night I was in the dream measuring the length......, I was taking the tape measure everywhere. The most exaggerated thing is my father had the same dream! Both of us are fatigue.

I'm not good at drawing, I tried my best to draw a easy blueprint.
